  So you got a new puppy or you're thinking about getting one. A puppy can be so much fun for you and your family. If you just do a few things right, you can have a great dog for many years to come. Step 1   ALWAYS STAY POSITIVE
  Dogs are smart animals and they are very good at picking up on your emotions. When dogs are in the wild a puppy pees and poops in the den at first, but her mom never gets angry with her. She just cleans up the mess so there is no scent remaining from the accident. As the puppy gets older she learns to do her business outside of the den by imitating her mother.

Step 2   A SET ROUTINE
  Your puppy needs to be taken out regularly, so start in the morning as soon as she awakens. Find a spot that you don't mind her using and take her to that same spot every time. The smell of where she has been before will help trigger the urge for her to go. She will also have the urge to poop 5 to 30 minutes after every meal. Never leave your puppy alone or unattended, If you have a crate put your puppy in it when you are gone or when she is left unattended, then take her out as soon as you return. Make a habit of taking your new pet out regularly and it will become her habit to go outside.

Step 3   LEARN YOUR DOGS HINTS
  As your puppy gets a little older she will not want to go in the environment in which she lives. If you have been faithful in her training she will begin to give you clues that she wants to go potty. She may go to the door, she may bark, or her hints may be more subtle. Watch your dog to find her way of letting you know it's time for a potty break.
